Disclosure: I received sample dresses from Femme Luxe in order to share my opinion about their products, but this isn’t a sponsored post.
Not long ago, an online women’s fashion boutique, Femme Luxe, got in touch with me for a collab. I was given the opportunity of choosing four gorgeous dresses to review and promote both on my blog and Instagram.
But before showing you and talking about the dresses in question, I must say that, at first, I wasn’t convinced to carry out this collaboration project. It took me literally ages to make up my mind!
Why? Well, as you can see in the pics below, I’m quite slender and bony. On the other hand, the models on the Femme Luxe website are quite voluptuous, and also are the girls that you can see under the hashtag #Luxegal on Instagram.
So I thought this wasn’t for me, really.
But then I had a gut feeling that I should give it a try. Why not? Even though I thought the dresses wouldn’t look good on me, that they were too provocative for me, it’s always good to get out of your comfort zone.
And it turned out that I LOVED the dresses, how they looked on me and, most important, it was a lot of fun taking the pictures and writing this post for you, guys!
So here’s my opinion of the Femme Luxe dresses that I chose:
I love the warm colours of sunset, definitely my favourite time of day. They match perfectly with this mustard bodycon dress, which I combined with a black leather jacket from Bershka, black fishnet tights and brown ankle boots from JustFab to make an impact.
The leather jacket and the stockings make me look like a rocker, which is my natural style. However, if you combine this versatile dress with the right accessories, you can get a preppy style as well.
The following dress is even more provocative than the previous one. It’s so excessively short that it makes my legs seem endless!
Also, it’s a bit transparent on the bottom part, so I put on a pair of shorts underneath.
I love the lace in the front because, when you tie it, it makes your curves look more noticeable. For girls who are more busty than me, the upper part of the dress will obviously look more low-cut.
On this occasion, I’ve combined it with a small camel handbag and a pair of pink Mary Jane pumps from JustFab, which make the outfit even sexier.
I loved this warm and stylish dress since I opened the packet I received from Femme Luxe. It’s perfect for every day and also can be worn to work because of its elegant style.
I’ve combined it with a black bag from Desigual, black leggings and ankle boots from JustFab. For an even more classy look, combine it with high heels.
Wow, I never thought that orange would be such a difficult colour to match… To be honest, I first had to check on Google “how to wear an orange dress” because I had absolutely no idea!
Another detail that makes this item very bold is the endless slit on the right side so you need to be careful how you sit.
So I finally combined this sleeveless maxi dress with the same pink Mary Janes as before, and I think this was a wise choice. In my opinion, the rosy colour makes the orange look less vibrant.
Well, this was my review of the Femme Luxe dresses. What do you reckon? Which of these items is your favourite? How would you combine them? Let me know what you think in the comments section below!
