How I Started Blogging
I’ve been blogging for YEARS, but it wasn’t until 2015 that I created this blog. Norma Linnet is a travel and lifestyle blog aimed to make my readers’ lives easier.
It was since then that I started to get more serious about blogging. I’ve learned a lot about writing, photography, social media, web analytics and WordPress. But one of the most important things I’ve learned so far is that creating a community of like-minded bloggers has really made my blog take off. Bloggers need to support and learn from each other in order to grow.
At first, blogging is hard. The first thing that any new blogger should do after creating their blog is write, write and… write. Maybe you think you have no idea what you’re doing, but believe me, you’ll learn a lot during the process and it’ll eventually get easier–because you’ll have got better. Learn from other bloggers, ask questions, attend online webinars, watch videos on YouTube. These days, the Internet is your oyster!
Avoid perfectionism at all costs. If you try to do everything perfectly–which, of course, is impossible–you’ll only be able to work more slowly and frustrate yourself. Just try to be good enough. I’m a born perfectionist and this advice has made things much easier for me.
